BEIJING, March 20 (Xinhua) — China launched a large online job market on Friday, which will last until the end of June and provide about 10 million job vacancies.

On the first day, about 950,000 enterprises came with about 5.7 million vacancies, said the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the initiator of the job fair.

The job fair has set up a national unified and multi-lateral online recruitment platform to improve the matching efficiency of supply and demand in the labor market, the ministry said.

To better serve various groups, the job fair has recruitment sessions for college graduates, migrant workers, the urban unemployed and the disadvantaged.

In terms of regions, it also provides recruitment sessions for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, 52 poverty-stricken counties, and Hubei Province, which was hard hit by the novel coronavirus epidemic.

Each week, the job market will roll out industry-based recruitment sessions. In the first week, it will have four recruitment sessions for medical and health care, medical materials, logistics and distribution and domestic services, focusing on the needs of the epidemic prevention and the resumption of production.

Meanwhile, the job fair also provides online vocational guidance and training. Job seekers can find more information at two portals for the fair: http://job.mohrss.gov.cn and http://newjobs.com.cn.
